Owners/Operators - Ian and Marianne Dee

Picture
Ian has been growing wine grapes in Central Otago for over 15 years. Prior to this he was involved in Rural Banking and has a degree in Agricultural Science and Diploma in Finance. In 1999 he started at Chard Farm winery and soon moved to the position of viticulturist as the company grew. In 2006 the opportunity to own their own vineyard finally came. Since then Ian's been running Georgetown Vineyard and in his spare time working off vineyard to earn money to run Georgetown Vineyard.

Marianne is an import from Germany. An impact player, brought in to machine through the big jobs... when the kids allow her time off.

Wine Maker - Brendan Seal

Picture
Brendan has had extensive experience in Central Otago having worked in various wine making roles for Chard Farm, Mt Difficulty and Mount Edward since his first vintage in the region in 1999. Overseas experience includes numerous vintages producing Pinot Noir in Oregon and California as well as harvests in Alsace, Cyprus and the UK. He runs a contract winemaking business and consults for a handful of Central Otago wine producers.

Vineyard - Richie McAwesome

There's not much Richie can't do. Originally from a cabinet making background, Richie does everything in the vineyard. Then on his days away packs vermicast and feeds worms. Then in his spare time runs his own walnut grove and in the holidays presses olives.
